International Conference on Applied Foreign Language Studies (CAFLS) is an annual conference that provides scholars a forum to exchange professional opinions and seek opportunities of intercollegiate/international academic cooperation. Following the three successful events in the previous years, CAFLS will aim at issues of content-based, interdisciplinary and cross-cultural studies in the upcoming conference on 8 June 2012. We have proudly invited Dr. Maosung Lin, professor of English Department at Soochow University and Dr. Susan Meyers, Director of Writing of School of Writing, Literature and Film at Oregon State University, to deliver two speeches about design of English courses for technical university students and possibilities/predicaments in authentic cross-cultural English composition classrooms.
