Inside Crime-free Society: Analysis on Social Structure and Social Control of Moso Society
Abstract
As material civilization matures, crimes bloom as well; yet, the opposite happens when spiritual civilization develops. Model societies with rich spiritual civilization have appeared in the course of history; Moso society is one that still exists today. It is crime-free and has been listed as one of the fifty model communities by United Nations.
This research study is intended to explore the causes for zero-crime rate in Moso Society, and present their unique viewpoints to the descendants of fraternal society. The study also examines Moso
society's social control from the perspective of its social structure. The concept of social structure has suggested the possibility of transformations in response to surrounding circumstances; thus future changes, preservation and promotion of the essence in Moso culture will be discussed as well.
A few societies can stand to or be immune to the impact from modernization. The virtuous characteristics of Moso Society, especially those that are dissimilar from the mainstream, might disappear in the near future. As a result, this research study anticipates to ...
